Tips: These finger-tip measuring heart rate monitoring apps are super sensitive to movements, and to the amount of finger-tip pressure applied to the camera lens area. To get the heart rate, Id cover both lens & flash horizontally with my left finger tip (instead of vertically as pictured in the app) with the finger tip pointing to the right, and let the phone/lens-flash area rest on my finger tip/hand, while my hand/arm rests on something. Be sure to keep especially your finger tip/hand/arm super still while these types of apps are in the process of taking your pulse/heart beat. **************************************************Pro: This app is almost perfect! Ive had this app for a long while now, and Ive checked its results against my Omron chest strap heart monitor, my oximeter, and Azumios app, and this apps results have been consistently on the mark. I also like the fact that the results are given in decimals and not rounded to whole numbers. (The Azumios app is not dependable. Its results are mostly 1 beat lower, and its paid $2.99 StandUp Test is useless--I want my money back, but I do like its Tags / Notes features. The Tags / Notes features provide meaningful interpretations of the results when viewed again in later days.) Con: I wish this Heart Fitness app would offer tags/notes to make the heart rate readings meaningful for reference when viewed again weeks/ months/ years later--was this resting heart rate taken in bed or was I sitting at the time, was it taken while I was standing, was it taken the morning after a hard workout, was it taken after insufficient sleep...???) Having meaningful reviews would really be helpful in recognizing cause&effects / trends... Conclusion: Get this app. You can depend on the numbers it provides. Stay healthy.

Does not work now

Worked great until the update came out. Now it crashes every time.

It crashes every time i try to measure. After upgrading to IOS7.

Do not purchase this application! Crashes every time you try to measure your heart rate, the app shuts down.

Used to love this app and use it regularly but now it crashes . . . Hope they see this and fix it, ASAP! "App support" lands you nowhere but on a domain page . . .

Crashes during measurement when used with iOS 7.

Loved it before the recent update (9-13). Now it wont stay open for more than 2 seconds.

Its too bad, because Ive used this app for years, but it looks like theres no more support for it. I checked the website to notify the devs of the problem, but its gone.

Opens, can click whichever section, but if I click to check my heart rate it crashes.

Worked beautifully for several years until I updated to iOS 7. Now it crashes every time I try to measure heart rate. Last update was March 2011, and their developer website is no longer in use when I tried to contact them. Looks like I will be deleting this one soon.

I loved, loved loved this app with previous versions of iOS, and I got it when I bought my iPhone 4. It worked perfectly with iOS 4.x, iOS 5.x, and iOS 6.x. However, Ive upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 and this app no longer works. Ive tried stuff that worked with other apps - restarting the phone, deleting and reinstalling the app - and it still crashes. Since it uses the camera, and since iOS 7 requires permission to use the camera, and since the app doesnt ask permission to use the camera, this leads me to believe that its a bug in the app itself. What was a 5 star app is now a 1 star app because of this. Ill be waiting for an update, but in the mean time, I now need to find a different heart rate monitor app.

Upgraded iPhone and now it doesnt load at all. Worked very well prior to the upgrade though!

After updated to iOS 7, heart fitness is no longer working, the app just aborted when trying to measure. Anyone has run into this?

It crashes almost every single time!!! It looks good and sounds good, BUT it doesnt work. Note: fix it and Ill change my rating

everytime I go to scan my finger it crashes

Crashes every time I try to measure. iOS7 and iPhone 4S. Was a great app before the crashes started. I have tried to delete it and reinstall it and no changes. Please fix the issues and I will gladly go back to a 5 star rating.

I used to love this app, but since the iOS upgrade it crashed within seconds of trying to measure my heart rate. I dont use this for medical accuracy, but as an athlete, I use it to track trends so I can tell if Im overtraining. Please fx this app!

Not working in iOS 7, crashes, their website is for sale, I think this company is bust!
